I have been suffering from stiff elbow post injury.. no fracture but ligament tear. I have been advised physiotherapy and have been undergoing it since 4months. But no improvement. Should I consult a neurologist for this?? I have consulted number of orthopaedic doctors
Female | 37
The challenge posed by a stiff elbow following an injury can be daunting, particularly when physical therapy fails to yield substantial improvements. A pinched nerve sometimes occurs, which is hard to admit. If your arm is still hurting and you want to find a solution, a neurologist is one of the doctors who could offer the right advice in addition to your treatment plan. They can view the problem and also find an effective way to release your tension.

Right hip subchondral sclerosis with fewill defindradiolucent areasnoted inhead of right femur
Male | 34
Subchondral sclerosis is when the bone becomes harder. Radiolucent areas are places where the bone isn’t as dense. These changes can cause pain and stiffness in the hip area. They may occur because of natural aging processes and wear and tear on our bodies over time. To relieve these symptoms, try doing exercises or going for physical therapy sessions.

Bruised elbow swollen bruising all down the arm
Female | 21
You may have hurt your elbow quite seriously. When you slam it hard, you can make your elbow and arm to swell and turn purple. It happens when the tiny blood vessels, beneath our skin, smash. For reducing the swelling and pain, you can apply ice. If no significant improvement is noted, you should get the orthopedist involved and thoroughly examined.

Index finger ki upar pain ho raha hai
Female | 21
Suppose your index finger experienced pain at the top, several explanations are possible: excessive typing or from activities like tossing a frisbee. At times, such pain might be due to an infection or injury. Give your finger rest and steer clear of the activities causing the pain to worsen. The application of ice packs can significantly reduce swelling and aches as well. If the pain doesn't get better or even becomes sharper, consult with an orthopedist.

i am suffering from bone problem
Male | 29
You may have an issue with your bones. This could stem from lacking calcium or Vitamin D. When bones don't receive enough of those nutrients, they weaken. Pain sets in, making movement difficult. To combat this, consume calcium-rich foods like milk and yogurt. Eat leafy greens high in Vitamin D.

Severe low back pain Not movable stage from night
Female | 28
This may occur from overworking your muscles, having a bad posture and getting some diseases. To start feeling better, stretch gently, use ice or heat packs, and try taking nonprescription painkillers. It would be best if you spoke to an orthopedist if improvement doesn't happen within a few days.

Sir/madam I am a student,my problem is my little finger joint dislocated it's nearly 20 days ago surgery was done successfully, but my finger is not folding
Male | 19
Your finger is likely struggling to bend properly after the surgery to fix its dislocated state. This issue arises due to swelling or stiffness, which can occur sometimes. To enhance its bending ability, gently move it and follow the exercises suggested by your physical therapist diligently. These exercises aim to strengthen your finger and boost its flexibility gradually.

Hello doctor I am currently on fluoxetine 40mg since last 2 years Yesterday i had a small accident and my hand is aching a lot My physician has prescribed 50mg tramadol But i have read on google that tramadol and fluoxetine cannot be taken together Please help what to do??
Male | 25
Although fluoxetine and tramadol are both related to chemical levels in the brain, it is still not safe to mix them. In other words, their simultaneous consumption can intensify the likelihood of serotonin syndrome, a critical ailment that manifests symptoms such as confusion, sweating, and fast heartbeat. The best course of action would be for your physician to advise you on alternative pain relief options that are safe for you.

i am 24 years and my bone mineral density score is -2 and vitamin d level is 14
Male | anvesh
It appears you've been diagnosed with low bone density and vitamin D deficiency, which can lead to bone pain, weak muscles, and fractures. A diet rich in calcium and vitamin D, including dairy products, leafy greens, and sunlight exposure, is crucial for bone health. Your doctor may recommend vitamin D supplements to improve your calcium levels. Additionally, maintaining a nutritious diet and engaging in exercises like running and strength training prescribed by your orthopedic doctor can help maintain bone strength and overall health.

I’m 15 and was diagnosed with soft tissue damage at the top of my right foot going into my ankle. It started in November 2023. It’s gotten worse.
Female | 15
You have hurt the soft parts in your right foot near the ankle. This could have happened by doing too much, a sports injury or even twisting it. Pain, swelling, and hard to move the foot are some common signs. Make sure you rest the foot, put ice on it and keep it up so that it does not swell. You can also try stretching it gently and taking pain relief medicine. If the pain does not improve, talk to an orthopedist about what else you should do.
