Answered on 18th Jan '25
Experiencing difficulty falling or staying asleep can stem from stress, lifestyle habits, or medical issues. Common symptoms include restless nights, daytime fatigue, and irritability. To improve your situation, consider establishing a calming bedtime routine, reducing caffeine intake, and creating a comfortable sleep environment. Regular exercise also promotes better rest. Mindfulness techniques, like meditation or gentle yoga, can help ease anxiety. If these changes do not help, it’s important to discuss your sleep concerns with a psychiatrist who can provide personalized guidance and support.

Hi, I am on the contraceptive implant and have been experiencing anxiety. Should I get this out?
Female | 21
When it comes to using a contraceptive implant, it's common to feel worried about anxiety. The hormonal changes caused by this method, on rare occasions, can sometimes cause mood swings. First of all, it can be extremely helpful to track when these feelings appear and any other symptoms you notice. Maybe, you can consider going to your doctor for a discussion, since he/she can scientifically evaluate your condition and propose other therapies in case of need. Keep in mind, you are not the only person in this situation and the medical practitioner can help you ease your panic and will apply a resolution suitable specifically for your needs. Your comfort and health are important, so please reach out to the required specialist for advice.

I have ocd and I take 50 mg of sertraline in the morning and 0.5 mg of clonazepam at night but now I am having difficulty in sleeping so can I take 1 mg of clonazepam at night, please suggest me.
Male | 30
The perfect dose of clonazepam for insomnia may not be higher, e.g. 1 mg. The same applies to changing the dosage, they should talk to the psychiatrist first. Difficulty sleeping can sometimes be one side effect of clonazepam due to a medication like sertraline and the doctor will help get the right solution for the patient. Panic, fear, or other reasons may also be the sources of your sleep problems.

Female | 21
Being sad and stressed out at your age is a hard situation, but you're not the only one feeling that way. Being sad, nervous, tired, and having difficulty sleeping are among the indicators of depression. Tension can make these experiences even more burdensome. Possible reasons for this could be genes, stress, or life events. Things that can help you improve your mood are talking to a psychiatrist, playing sports, and spending your free time with activities that make you happy.

I also do not want to talk anyone which effect my relationships
Female | 24
You sound depressed. Stress can spin up in many ways which include but are not limited to headaches, insomnia, or upset stomach. A potential cause of this health hazard could also be the compulsion of life or extreme pressure at school. Get relaxed by trying different relaxation techniques such as calming, breathing, going around your building, and hanging out with a friend. Unessential as it may seem, these facts with such relevance as eating good food, doing exercise, and sleeping enough are also quite important.

I visited a psychiatrist and he prescribed me these meds. Daxtin 20mg Daxtin 40mg Fluvoxamine 50mg Etilaam .25mg Explain these medicines from all perspective and help me get a pros and cons list
Male | 21
Here's some brief information about the medicines that your psychiatrist has recommended: 1. Daxtin 20mg and Daxtin 40mg: These are prescribed for depression. These drugs can help increase the serotonin and norepinephrine levels, improving your mood and energy. 2. Fluvoxamine 50mg: It's also great for depression and anxiety. It works better for sleep and decreases the level of anxiety. 3. Etilaam 0.25mg: It cures anxiety and panic attacks. Positive: Such products have the potential to alleviate depression, give you a good night's sleep, and anxiety at a manageable level.
Negative: It might bring alongside other effects such as vomiting, giddiness, and drowsiness. In other words, these medications are intended to make you feel better, but they can also cause other health problems. Do not stop taking them on your own – always take them as your doctor has prescribed and notify them of any discrepancies in your condition!

High blood pressure can have many causes, including stress. Worrying too much and overthinking may also be signs of anxiety. It's important to follow your doctor's instructions when taking medication. To manage stress and anxiety, try relaxation methods like deep breathing, exercise, or talking to someone you trust.

I can't sleep within 3 days
Male | 31
People who are anxious or stressed out by something are more likely to suffer from some common sleep disorders. Drowsiness and inability to concentrate are common signs. To make things better, let's work on your calming-down technique by setting a routine to put yourself at ease before bed, and not using screens before bed so you can be in a state of peace. Being in an ideal environment is also important. If this doesn't help you can visit a therapist.

Female | 18
During a panic attack, you might feel as if you cannot breathe, have a racing heart, and feel shaky or dizzy. Your body can be in “fight or flight” mode when there is no real danger. You should do breathing exercises or other things that help you relax so these feelings don’t get too intense. Talk with someone you trust and consider talking to a counselor or therapist for more support if necessary.

All these could be symptoms of depression, which affects both the body and the mind. You may feel tired all the time, lose interest in things that used to make you happy, or even think about hurting yourself when you are depressed. These emotions should not be kept to oneself and talking to someone such as a counselor or therapist who can offer help through different methods including therapy sessions or medication might be a good start.
