I am a 28 year old male. I was using my phone and my phone fell off under my eyes....and blood came out.....there is only little wound....blood came....and there is pain in one side of the face.....phone edge got contact with the under eye....what to do for this situation??? Can you recommend anything for not having any scar.....is this issue critical? Can you please tell me???
Answered on 13th Nov '24
Blood and pain are the normal things you experience when your skin gets damaged. The area under your eye can be cleared by softly rinsing it with water and then taping a piece of Band-Aid on it. You can gently put a thin layer of antibiotic ointment around the scar with the hope that it will not scar. Identify the issue and if it doesn't heal or you see any signs of infection like swelling, heat, or pus, it is good to see an eye specialist.

Can a Squint be Corrected in 10 year old, without surgery ?
Answered on 8th Nov '24
A squint, which is also known as strabismus, in ten-year-old kids may be corrected without surgery in some cases if it is diagnosed at the very early age. Symptoms may be that one eye is constantly moving in or out. The causes are muscle imbalance or eye muscle weakness. The treatments can include eye exercises, wearing a patch, or the use of glasses to help focus. It is important that the progress is being controlled by having regular eye examinations.

13 years ago I had an operation on my eye then you were fine but now you are suffering from squint the squint is increasing slowly I contacted the nearest doctor but he told me that you have had an operation so you Even if we fix it on the squint but it will not be correct because your vision is very low and the other eye can see fine so can you suggest me that this problem can be solved
Answered on 7th Nov '24
A squint may occur if the eye muscles do not collaborate well. Although your vision is weaker in the affected eye, the correction of squinting will not be complete. One additional option is to use prism glasses or practice some visual exercises to develop dynamic eye movements as well. The best thing would be to follow up all the instructions and updates of your eye doctor who will tell you what is specifically appropriate for your case.

A squint, or strabismus, is a condition where the eyes are not properly aligned, often due to weak eye muscles or vision issues. In your case, however, the squint may not improve the low vision in the operated eye. Fortunately, there are several treatment options available to enhance the eye's appearance. You can discuss options with your eye doctor, such as wearing glasses, doing eye exercises, or considering additional surgery if suitable.

Your mom's corneal vascularisation can be caused by some issues that have existed for a long time such as arthritis and corneal ulcer. The scar on her cornea may be the reason for her vision being blurry. Treatment options may be included in eye drops, surgery, or using lenses. An eye doctor has to follow up with her to get the best treatment plan.

I have a squit eyes I wanted to have a check up
Answered on 25th Oct '24
You have a condition called "squint eyes", aka strabismus. The situation is where one of the eyes is not functioning right, thus the two eyes are directed in different ways. Sometimes, you will see one eye looking one way, like in, out, up, or down. One reason could be the weakened eye muscles, or the problem may be with the nerves that control the eye muscles. The type of treatment may include glasses, eye exercises, or surgery, depending on the cause and degree of the squint. It is vital to visit an eye specialist for an accurate assessment and a discussion of the best treatment choices for you.

I have myopia, I wanna go glassfree
Answered on 23rd Oct '24
Based on the symptoms you are telling, your diagnosis is myopia which means you cannot see things at a distance. Myopia develops due to a phenomenon where the eyeball becomes longer or the cornea is more curved. This is due to the light focusing in front of the retina instead of directly on it. One alternative to lenses that you may want to try is contact lenses or corrective surgery. These methods enable you to see better without wearing spectacles. However, it is important to consult an ophthalmologist for a suitable treatment.

Answered on 14th Oct '24
Axenfeld loop is when there is a tiny dark spot on the white part of your eye, and it can be like having something in your eye. Besides this, other factors such as eye strain or irritation could also be sources of this. To cope with the discomfort, artificial tears can be applied to your eyes. Don't rub your eyes. If the symptoms are still there or worsen, it's better to go to an eye doctor for further examination and treatment.

I had a plants poked my left eye yesterday, currently my eye can blink and can see. It did not injured my cornea but above my eyeball. Today it still feels uncomfortable, not as pain as yesterday and still bearable. Do I need to use antibiotics drops or is there any other medication I can buy over the counter?
Answered on 14th Oct '24
The issue seems to be a trivial one, like a plant that has poked your eye. This feeling may include redness, discomfort, and a gritty feeling. As you have no injury to the cornea, antibiotics are not needed. If your eye is puffy, you may get relief from using artificial tears to drop your eye. In case the discomfort continues or worsens, you should visit an eye doctor.

Want to know about retina treatment
Answered on 9th Oct '24
The retina is a thin film of tissue making the inner surface of your eye that transmits the images outside to your brain. Problems with the retina can lead to serious vision issues. Signs of the problem with the retina you might get are blurred vision, flashes of light that come out of nowhere, and the perception of something that is not there in your field of vision. Causes can range from aging to serious conditions like diabetes. In the case of treatment, the restoration of vision is usually done by a surgical operation on the damaged retina.

You might have a lazy left eye, which is also called strabismus. This is caused by the fact that the eye muscles do not function as they should. Sometimes, they can also lead to symptoms such as double vision or your eyes not looking in the same direction. I have specs . My vision in right eye is 6/12 and in left eye is 6/6 . I have been wearing specs for 1 year, and now I have a doubt about it . Should I wear my specs full time ? Or should I wear them while reading, writing or using phone and TV? If I use my specs full time with a minor problem like this ( I think so) will it lead to a condition where I can't see anything without specs? This has been a concern for about a week now . Please help me with this.
Answered on 23rd Sept '24
According to your vision prescription, wearing spectacles every single day is the way to go. It enables your eyes to coordinate better and reduces the possibility of strain, which is particularly important when doing activities such as reading, writing, or using screens. The spectacle usage regularly you wear wouldn't make your eyesight worsen; it only allows you to see better. If you have any new symptoms or concerns, like headaches or blurry vision, reach out to an eye specialist.

Masturbation has nothing to do with glaucoma or blindness. The eye pressure causing some visual disturbance is glaucoma. I am suddenly seeing floaters in my vision and a little pain in the back of the eye, especially the left one. Eyes were perfectly normal around 2 weeks ago. I am not seeing any flashes of light or distorted vision, it is just fast moving floaters. I didn't do anything that would cause injury to my eyes. What it could be?
Answered on 25th Sept '24
You may be suffering from posterior vitreous detachment (PVD). The reason for this is when the gel-like structure in your eye gradually departs from the retina thus causing floaters. The aching in the back of your eye could be the result of a process that is abrasive to the area. The good news is that PVD often gets better on its own. However, you need to see an eye doctor to confirm there are no complications.

Regarding eye operation as the visual is not slightly visible
Answered on 11th Sept '24
If your vision is getting a little foggy, it could be due to several reasons. If you’ve been squinting to see things clearly, it might be cataracts. Cataracts are like a cloudy film that forms over the eye's lens, making everything appear blurry. The good news is that cataract surgery is a common and effective solution to restore clear vision. In this simple procedure, the cloudy lens is replaced with a clear one, allowing you to see better and sharper. If you're having trouble seeing clearly, it’s best to visit an eye doctor to discuss your options.

Eyes pain but its not red or no show something in eys eyes pain on both sides what problem
Answered on 11th Sept '24
Eye strain can explain why you have discomfort in both eyes without the presence of any red spots or other things in them. This is commonly the case when you carelessly devote too much time to the display when looking at it or reading. Relieve your eyes by taking breaks, blinking frequently, and using artificial tears. When the pain persists for longer than usual, it shouldn't be a problem to schedule a visit to an ophthalmologist.

You have a congenital problem in which one of your eyes, the right one, has not developed fully. This can result in visual impairment or even blindness in that eye. Regrettably, in your case where the cornea and optic nerve have not developed, no treatment can bring back vision. Nevertheless, some cosmetic options like colored contact lenses or prosthetic eyes can enhance the look of your eye and make it more similar to your other eye.

In your left eye, there is degenerative myopia with choroidal neovascularization, which has caused your vision to decline. In this condition, new blood vessels are growing in the wrong place. The best treatment option right now is an anti-VEGF injection, which can prevent these vessels from causing further damage to your eye. Meanwhile, your right eye has myopia, macular degeneration, and a tessellated fundus. Although your eyesight is not clear, regular use of eye drops can help control the situation to some extent.

Significant nearsightedness in both eyes is what you have in effect. This, though, can be a challenge, not the case for people who have disabilities, and may not necessarily be a reason for low vision. You may have symptoms such as blurry vision and struggle to see things at a distance. Genetic factors or eye shape can be some of the causes. Glasses or contact lenses can be used to correct the vision. Be sure to see an eye doctor for a thorough assessment and advice.

Cataracts are eye conditions that cause cloudy vision, making it hard to see clearly. People with cataracts may notice that objects appear blurry, colors are less vibrant, and vision at night is more challenging. Cataracts typically develop when the lens in your eye becomes cloudy, often due to aging or other health issues. The most effective treatment is surgery, where the cloudy lens is replaced with a clear artificial one.

Atropine eye drops are used for specific eye conditions, but if they get into your eyes accidentally, you may experience blurred vision or other issues because atropine can over-dilate your pupils. This should return to normal as your eyes recover. Just wait a little, and if your vision doesn't clear up, you should see an eye specialist.

When I work out at the gym, my eye starts to swell after the workout. I consulted an eye specialist, who said it’s an allergy. However, when I jog or walk outside, nothing happens. In the gym, if I lift weights, even light ones, my eye starts to swell later. When I do floor exercises like push-ups, I feel like there's a foreign object in my eye, causing a twitching sensation. This only happens with exercises that involve pressure.looking like muscle weakness. It also happens after swimming. This issue never occurred before, and I’ve been doing these activities for the past four years without any problems. I have consulted various doctors and spent a lot of money, but I have not found a solution.
Answered on 10th July '24
You might be having allergic reactions triggered by your exercise. When you do certain workouts at the gym, like lifting weights or floor exercises, your eye swells up. This could be due to allergens at the gym or materials from the equipment. It's good that outdoor activities don't cause this problem. To prevent the symptoms, try wearing protective eyewear (goggles) at the gym or using antihistamine eye drops before you work out. It's a good idea to consult with an allergist for a complete evaluation and management plan.

You might be affected by a disorder of the eye, where the nervous cells in the eye are not working properly. This may be due to aging, high blood pressure, or diabetes. Nevertheless, it also might be that a person exhibits signs of blurred, partial, or total vision loss. Treatments for that might include taking special eye drops or doing procedures that will be put in place to protect your nerve endings that are situated in the eye. Your optometrist can prescribe eye drops or other medications to improve your vision.

Your eyesight has changed a bit with a measurement of -0.25D. This might make your vision less clear and give you sore eyes or a headache. If you spend lots of time looking at screens (like phones), these symptoms could get worse than they already are. To protect your sight, attempt to keep screen use down to 2 hours everyday maximum and take breaks every 20 minutes or so where you focus on something in the distance. You should still wear your glasses as directed by the optician as well.

Answered on 14th June '24
If you are experiencing pain in the eyes and temples it might be related to your vision. On another note, nearsightedness can make your eyes work extra hard which causes discomforts such as these. However we should also consider more serious possibilities. Additionally, staring at screens or books too long without enough breaks; not sleeping well due to various reasons including stress could lead onto them pains too therefore among other things try adequate rest combined with good lighting for relief. Consult an eye specialist if they persist or get worse.

You might have difficulty seeing things sharply or lose your peripheral vision. It is necessary to determine the reason behind this atrophy. It is important to consult a neurologist or an ophthalmologist as soon as possible to diagnose and treat the underlying cause.

Your spouse may be suffering from what is called a stye, a pimple-like bulge on the eyelid. When oil glands are blocked, styes occur; they can be painful causing redness and watery eyes. To relieve the pain, apply warm compresses to the eye several times a day. Avoid rubbing your eyes. If the stye does not get any better or worsens, it would probably be a good time to consult with an eye specialist.

There have been a lot of changes in your eyes over the past few years. Being nearsighted is having a power of -4, which can occur when the eyeball is too long. When trying to see things that are far away, this may lead to cloudy vision. If you’re wondering if it’s right for you at this moment, consult an eye surgeon about LASIK surgery. Before deciding on anything, they must perform a thorough examination of your eyes so they know what’s changed.

Hello, I'm 16 years old. Since yesterday at 12 PM Spanish time, I've been experiencing small spasms in my lower left eyelid. They feel like muscle contractions, usually sudden and occurring every 20 seconds, with about 10 to 15 contractions per spasm. I don't think there's any underlying issue as I don't have sleep problems, stress, haven't consumed caffeine or alcohol, and I don't feel tired. I would greatly appreciate the help; it's not painful but very annoying.

These spasms might happen because of stress, tiredness, or too much time spent staring at screens. Ensure that you rest your eyes, get enough sleep, and try massaging gently to relieve tension from the muscles around them. If they persist or get worse then it would be wise to talk with an eye specialist for more advice.

Eye issues can be challenging, especially when you are young. At 19, eye pain may seem unusual, but there could be simple reasons behind it. One reason may be dry eyes from cold water exposure. Another could be eye strain from too much screen time. Staring at screens for long hours can make your eyes tired and sore. To take care of your eyes, take breaks from screens often. Look away every 20 minutes for 20 seconds. Blink frequently to keep your eyes lubricated. Use eye drops for dry eyes to keep them moist and comfortable. If the pain persists, visit an eye doctor. An eye specialist can examine your eyes, identify the root cause, and provide proper treatment to relieve discomfort and prevent further issues.

Try warm compresses and gentle eyelid massages to help with drainage. If the problem persists, see an eye doctor for proper treatment.

I had an eye stroke on the 11th December and they told me that I have a died vein in my eye and there is a blood stuck in the vein that won't move, I was wondering if you guys have any treatments instead of medicines because in the uk they only prescribe me medications and not medical treatments like operations etc i need urgent help and please do reply if you have anything to help me .
Answered on 11th Sept '24
Eye strokes are bad. A blood clot blocks a vein in your eye. This causes blurry vision, pain, and flashes of light. High blood pressure or diabetes can cause clots. Surgery might not help, but laser therapy or injections may restore blood flow. It's crucial to see an eye doctor regularly. They'll recommend the best treatment.

hi. I have a question if there is any treatment for eye stroke. This happened on 11/12/2023. Now they have regained their vision, but not completely, but especially in the middle of the eye, and I have a report and pictures of the eye. Thank you very much.
Answered on 30th July '24
Eye strokes occur when blood vessels supplying the eye get blocked. Vision loss is the result. Regaining some sight is positive progress, good news indeed. To potentially improve vision further, an eye specialist appointment seems wise. They can suggest treatments, like eye exercises or medicine, that might help restore more eyesight. Diligent follow-up care with the eye doctor becomes crucial moving forward.

My eyes and body both are weak, perhaps this is not due to masturbation.
Answered on 29th July '24
It's possible that your weak eyes and body might not be related to masturbation. Weak eyes could be due to issues like refractive errors or other eye conditions, while a weak body could be due to nutritional deficiencies, lack of exercise, or other health problems. It's best to consult an ophthalmologist for your eye issues and a general physician for your overall weakness to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.

My suggestion is that you get an appointment with an ophthalmologist to have a look at the condition of your left eye. Complications do occur in a cataract surgery, though this procedure is very popular. The retina and choroid can detach from each other, and then cause permanent vision loss.

I 28 years old. I have under gone Lasik eye surgery in Narayana Netralaya in 2019. But one of the eye didn't improve any eye sight...I went to them but they said the Par has removed and the number of both the eyes is zero.. but one eye I can't read and get blurred vision... Is there any way or is it necessary to undergo another surgery....please help me out in this issue
Answered on 23rd May '24
This is alarming because even in one of your eyes you still face an issue with clarity of vision after Lasik surgery. It is recommended that one consult an eye consultant doctor who conducts a full eye inspection. They take note of unique factors that cause blurred vision; these may be refractive errors or an underlying condition. This depends on what is found in the latter part of these surgical procedures so it may entail additional surgery if the findings are unfavorable, but proper professional assessment by an eye specialist would be better.

I have experienced shaky vision in the top as well the left corner of my left eye. This has happened 4 times so far in a span of 6 months. the most recent being yesterday (11/18/2023). it starts of with a dark/ blind spot in the centre of my eye/ vision so I can see like the peripheries of stuff but not the middle. Kind of like when you stare at the sun or a bulb then you get a dark spot in your vision for a bit. this then transitions into shaky vision in the top and left hand corner of my left eye only. the best way I can describe it is like when you look at the ground on a hot day or the sand in a desert when heat is rising so things look all wavy. that's what it looks like. then this lasts for 10-15 minutes then it goes away. please note that I never have headaches or migraines ever during these episodes. do you have an idea of what this could be?

Hi… I wanted to do Contuora vision surgery for removing my spectacle . My age is 42 and powers are -5 cylindrical and -1 spherical with 110 and 65 axis. One doctor suggested that with -5 cylindrical power Contoura vision cannot be done and go for Refractive Lens Exchange / clear lens exchange or ICL. I visited another ophthalmologist for second opinion as I don’t want to extract my natural lens ,and he suggested that I can go with Contoura vision for spec removal. Now I am confused . Should I go with CV. At this point i am not interested to extract my natural lens. Looking for some help in this regard from experts. It’s a matter of eyes. I also have reading glass .
Answered on 23rd May '24
CV is a laser procedure to reshape the cornea, while RLE involves replacing the natural lens. ICL is another lens-based option. To make an informed choice, discuss your cornea's suitability for CV, the effectiveness of each procedure for your prescription, and potential risks with your doctors. Seek a third opinion if needed, as your eye health is important.

Answered on 23rd May '24
Seeing flashes of light or "lightning" in your peripheral vision can sometimes be a symptom of an eye related issue. However, stress and anxiety can also cause visual disturbances, including perceived flashes of light. Meantime it may be helpful to practice stress management techniques, such as deep breathing exercises, mindfulness or meditation. If this also doesn't help then visit an eye specialist to get it checked.
