I am 46 yrs old women. My chief complain is having left side chest pain since last 2 months, whenever the pain is elevated I m using ibuprofen tablet but still the pain is increasing day by day
Answered on 27th Nov '24
It is bothering that the pain persists, even if you take ibuprofen. Chest pain that is one of the hearts, lungs, or parts of the body or could be a result of inflammation might be the reason. Certainly, along with identifying the cause of the problem, a cardiologist can prescribe the correct and effective treatment.

I am feeling pain in left arm, a bit of weakness in left arm and 93 pulse. Slight uneasiness in left side of chest. Is this something to worry about. I’ve tried to get an app with Dr. Ryan in malad branch but I am told he is fully booked.
Answered on 27th Nov '24
You may have potential heart problems which could be indicated by the condition of your heart. Left arm pains, faintness, and discomfort in the left chest area could be among the possible heart conditions. The pulse rate of 93 is higher than the normal level. These symptoms could be the ground of a heart-related problem, so it is necessary to see a cardiologist immediately.

I have some pain inside my left side of my chest and centre. The pain escalates during sleep. Why is the cause and cure ?
Answered on 18th Nov '24
You are likely suffering from a phenomenon called acid reflux. Your stomach might produce the acid that will travel upward causing pain in your chest especially when lying down. It may be that the causes are eating particular kinds of food, being overweight, or you continue smoking. To solve the problem, you are recommended to avoid spicy and high-fat meals, eat less, and not lie down immediately after eating. It is highly suggested to visit a cardiologist if the pain persists.

Answered on 18th Nov '24
The chest pain you feel frequently, medications not working, and vomiting are the major health issues that bother you. One likely explanation could be that the weakening of your heart is leading to the onset of these conditions. Please get help urgently from a cardiologist as it is essential. Such symptoms can also be a sign of a heart attack and it is therefore necessary that you go to the nearest ER first, for a complete check-up and appropriate treatment.

My grandpa had a heart attack and we admitted him last week now he says he feels shortness of breath?
Answered on 18th Nov '24
Breathlessness occurring after a heart attack to the patient can be attributed to the heart possibly having insufficient pumping, which, in turn, causes fluid to build up in the lungs. This is usually associated with difficulty in breathing. Other symptoms seen in such a case are tiredness and coughing. It is good to inform a cardiologist of this cause. Consequently, prescription drugs or other treatments may have to be modified to help him more efficiently.

Answered on 13th Nov '24
The causes of symptoms like fast heartbeats, chest pain, and neck swelling can be varied, from anxiety to heart conditions like congestive heart failure. These symptoms may also happen due to nervousness, anxiety, or drinking too much coffee. Sometimes, they can even be related to a heart issue. If you frequently feel this way, it's best to see a cardiologist to understand the cause and get the right treatment.

My father has recently had a pressure stock which shows a heart plus rate of fifty-seven. Is it good or bad
Answered on 13th Nov '24
A heart rate of fifty-seven is usually normal in adults, especially if there are no symptoms like dizziness, shortness of breath, or chest pain. Many factors can contribute to a heart rate of fifty-seven, such as physical fitness or certain medications. Generally, this heart rate is not a cause for concern, though it's always wise to consult a cardiologist if you have any worries.

What are the causes of Heart palpitations, Neck beat, chest pain, arms pain, muscles twich problems ???
Answered on 13th Nov '24
Panic attacks, tachycardia, and muscle cramps can also occur due to anxiety, caffeine, or dehydration in the person's body. Signs include rapid heartbeat, neck pounding, chest/arm pain, and unexpected muscle spasms. You can do this by doing deep breathing which can help you to relax, drink a lot of water, avoid caffeine, and manage stress. However, if the symptoms remain, it's better to visit a cardiologist to rule out any underlying problems.
Asked for Female, 13
My sister which is 13 years old is experiencing chest palpitations, her rest heart rate is 61 when during the slightest movement or especially when standing up it raises to 100-170. She has constant fatigue and sometimes chest pain that can worsen
Answered on 6th Nov '24
Your sister seems to have some heart troubles. If the heart rate escalates from 61 to 100-170, particularly with motion, it might be the result of a disorder known as "postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome" (POTS), which in a person can cause fatigue and chest pain. It's vital to consult a cardiologist who can diagnose the condition and recommend the best ways to deal with it.

6 year female child have heartbeat 100 per minute during sleep. Is it within in the normal range?
Answered on 30th Oct '24
A 6-year-old having a 100 heart rate per minute while sleeping can be normal. For kids, the rate of the heart can change with the activities they do, the emotions they feel, and the sleep. The abnormality of the heart rate to 100 while sleeping can be because of dreams or a low-grade virus infection. If your child seems ok as well as doesn't have any other symptoms, observe the situation. If you are worried or you see any odd symptoms, talk to a cardiologist.

Heart issue related to Angioplasty
Answered on 30th Oct '24
It is important to watch for any heart problems after angioplasty. The signs could be chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, or even fainting. These things may indicate that the arteries are getting narrower again. To stop this from happening, live a healthy lifestyle, take medication as prescribed, and go for regular check-ups with your cardiologist.

Heartbeat 100 bpm during sleep
Answered on 29th Oct '24
100 beats per minute is a high rate at rest. You can easily misinterpret it as your heart racing. The reason for this may include stress, caffeine, or some medicines. To help, try relaxation techniques you can do before bed like deep breathing. If it doesn't stop, talking to a cardiologist might be a better option.

Answered on 21st Oct '24
You may have a chest muscle strain, likely caused by overstretching or sudden movements. The muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatory meds prescribed are meant to help manage it. Glad to hear the new meds are easing your pain. Avoid activities that worsen it, and try gentle stretching. If the pain worsens or new symptoms appear, see your cardiologist for a check-up.

I can not lie down on my left side, my chest hurts on that side when i lay on left side, yawn, laugh hard or cough. I went to the pharmacist and I was given Ibuprofen, chytomycin and chlopidogel and yet it still hurts.
Answered on 21st Oct '24
You might have costochondritis, which is inflammation of the cartilage in front of the rib cage causing pain. It can worsen when lying on your left side or with chest movements. Painkillers help, but rest and avoiding activities that trigger pain are also beneficial. If the pain persists or worsens, consider seeing a cardiologist for further evaluation.

This type of condition may be caused by the blockages in the blood vessels which diminish the amount of blood that goes to your heart. Leftside chest pain and ecg normal
Answered on 16th Oct '24
Left-side chest pain can be caused by many reasons, such as pains caused by muscle or acid reflux. If your ECG is a normal result, it is said that the probability of there being a heart problem is lowered. Other possible causes may be stomach gas, anxiety, or a rib injury. To help, maybe try to take over-the-counter antacids if it is from acid reflux, or use a heating pad if it is muscle pain. In the case of pain that does not cease or worsen over time, it is always advisable to see a cardiologist.

Left-sided chest pain and a visible difference between the two sides can be caused by many different conditions. This may result from muscle strain, rib problems, or even heart disease. Those who have already started feeling short of breath, dizzy, or have severe pain, must seek medical assistance right away. Answered on 14th Oct '24
The ECG indicates the electric activities of the heart. If your heart pain is heart-related, the ECG may catch unusual types of beats. The causes could be heart issues, anxiety, or even stomach troubles like gas. If the ECG is normal, this is an encouraging sign. If not, visit a cardiologist for necessary treatment.

Answered on 11th Oct '24
Your NT-proBNP level is 73.95pmol/L. Well, this level is within the normal range. High NT-proBNP levels can show that heart problems including heart failure are possible. Fatigue, dyspnea, and peripheral edema are some common symptoms. Damage to the heart or high blood pressure could be the reason. If your levels are high, a doctor's follow-up is necessary for appropriate diagnosis and treatment, all of which are indispensable to your health.

The QT interval is an ECG part that reflects how much heart time it takes to discharge and recharge after each beat. Abnormality of the QT interval can be either too short or too long, leading to the heart's problems. The irritable beats of the heart like palpitations, brain dimness, and even the fainting condition can be the symptoms. The causes can be hereditary factors, some drugs, or the deficiency of ions.

You have experienced something referred to as angina. Angina is a medical term that often indicates chest pain or uneasy feelings. Your friend is fighting with his hypertension medication and says it is hard for him. The symptoms he is having, for example, strong headaches, chest pain, drowsiness, and spinning sensation, could be the side effects of the medication. These side effects are not common to everyone but can happen. Your friend needs to talk to his doctor about these symptoms. The doctor might think of changing the dose or giving a different medication to check if the side effects will go away. It's always a good idea to be open with a cardiologist about how you're feeling when taking medication.

A 60% echo score indicates a healthy heart, which is a good sign. Pain in the left hand after walking can have many causes, not heart problems. My father died of a heart attack and from what I saw in his tests, he had high cholesterol, he was 56 years old Question... can I also have heart problems in the future, is it hereditary? If so, what advice do you recommend to reduce cholesterol? Thank you!
Answered on 9th Sept '24
The occurance of heart problems can sometimes correlate with genetic predispositions in families. Apart from the directly affected cholesterol levels, one may also be at risk of heart issues due to high levels of cholesterol. Symptoms may include chest pain, narrow perfusion of blood vessels in the lungs, and general body weakness. Genetic predispositions and unhealthy habits, mostly poor diet, are among the leading causes of this condition. To reduce cholesterol, eat healthily, such as more fruits and vegetables, exercise regularly, and quit smoking.

Usually, it is a mild pain that can be managed by getting rest, performing light exercises, and taking pain relief medications such as ibuprofen. If the pain doesn't go away or worsens, you should see your cardiologist for more tests.

It's good that you checked your heart last year and everything is fine. Chest pain may be gastrically related on some occasions this could be the reason why your cardiologist gave you that type of advice. As for the heart palpitations after peeing that you experience, this is quite a common thing. This can occur because of the body position changing and the pressure on the heart you experience at that time. It is also normal to have more burps at night time. Avoid eating heavy meals just before bedtime, chew slowly, and accept some time to make food to make your life better. If the palpitations still occur or worsen, do not hesitate to visit your doctor and have further tests performed.

Many different factors can lead to a sharp pain in your chest. You should be aware that if it feels like someone is crushing or squeezing you and it gets worse with time, then this might be an indicator of heart-related issues such as a heart attack taking place. Sometimes muscles around the rib cage area may also hurt due to being overused or injured which can mimic cardiac chest discomfort so don’t panic just yet! Chest pain can be due to different causes, such as muscle strain, heart problems, or even the digestive system. If you have any other symptoms like shortness of breath or nausea, your priority should be to seek medical care. In the meantime, take a nap and stay away from too much scratching, and put some warm pressure on the affected spot.

I am 18 years old my heart is too much fluttering last 5 days I have gas tablets but no effect on fluttering in heart
Answered on 14th June '24
Your heart is beating irregularly, but you’ve got the feeling for five days. This may not be very comforting, but there are several reasons to consider. In certain cases, the root cause of the fluttering is excessive stress or anxiety. Alternatively, it can be the result of the consumption of too much coffee or energy drinks. Taking slow, deep breaths and limiting caffeinated drinks will slow down the heart and make it beat regularly. In case the fluttering still goes on, the best thing is to visit a cardiologist to have your heart checked out.

These symptoms can be a sign of various things. For example, it might be caused by an inflammation in the chest area, like a muscle strain, or an ongoing cough. It can be the inflammation of the lining around your lungs as well. Relaxing, taking painkillers, and looking for any other symptoms will help. The numbers indicate high blood pressure (BP). These numbers show how hard the blood pushes against the walls of the blood vessels. Whenever it is not controlled, high BP can damage the heart and the blood vessels. Sometimes it can cause heart disease or strokes too. Amlodipine is one of the common drugs used in treating high BP. It works by relaxing the blood vessels so that the heart does not have to pump too hard when pushing the blood through them. Take this medicine exactly as prescribed and go for regular checkups with your doctor so that he may be able to keep track of your BP readings.

If you drink and your eyes turn red or your heart starts beating fast, it could mean that you are allergic to alcohol. This happens when your body cannot process alcohol properly. Answered on 10th June '24
This refers to the fact that your heart is not pumping blood out as well as it should be. An EF of 36% suggests that you have a reduced heart function. Signs may consist of tiredness, breathlessness, and swelling. Heart attacks, high blood pressure, or diseases of the heart muscle can cause it. The treatment could involve drugs, lifestyle changes, and occasionally operations to improve both your heart function and symptoms. Visit a cardiologist to manage this condition.

I’m 26 years old female. For more than one and a half years, I have been experiencing chest pain (which doesn’t last more than a few seconds), chest tightness, palpitations, imbalance while walking or sitting, dizziness, breathing difficulties, stress, and anxiety. These symptoms have been severe enough to impact my daily activities, leading me to quit my job in March 2024. I underwent numerous tests, including blood tests, ECGs (3-4 times, which showed sinus tachycardia), a Brain MRI, Audiometry test (suggested by ENT), and ECHOs (4-5 times). All the results were normal, but my symptoms persisted. Two weeks ago, after experiencing palpitations, dizziness, and breathing difficulties while walking in a nearby park, I decided to consult a new cardiologist. Upon hearing my symptoms, the cardiologist suggested that I might have Mitral Valve Prolapse. An echo confirmed that I have Mitral Valve Prolapse involving the Anterior Mitral Leaflet, Mild Mitral Regurgitation, and Trivial Tricuspid Regurgitation with Normal Pulmonary Artery Pressure. The doctor assured me that these findings are normal and nothing to worry about. He prescribed Inderal for two months and asked me to return for a follow-up. Despite this, I still experience mild chest pain, palpitations, dizziness, and breathing difficulties. I am very concerned about my health and future. I sometimes feel like something is blocking and moving upwards in the chest area and at that time feel like heart skipping a beat and breathlessness before eating or sometimes after eating food. Also at sometimes i experience a sudden sharp pain in left side near center of chest. Is this related to MVP or this is different from that?. Even now I’m feeling difficult to breath a little bit. Also while travelling through auto or bike or even car i experience the symptoms mentioned above. The tablets which im taking are Inderal 10mg tablet - 1 tablet morning after food Inderal 20mg tablet - 1 tablet night after food Somoz DSR capsules - 1 tablet morning and night before food Lasilactone 50mg tablet - 1/2 tablet morning after food Eldatine 8mg tablet - 1 tablet morning and night after food

It seems like a lot is going on with your symptoms. This feeling of something coming up in the chest could be connected to either heartburn or indigestion; both can mimic heart-related problems at times. The shooting pain in your left chest might also have similar roots. These need to be mentioned to a cardiologist.

Answered on 11th June '24
If you are feeling heavy-headed along with having high blood pressure, there could be many factors causing this such as lifestyle choices or being under too much stress. Don't forget about keeping up with the exercise regimen that has helped make these improvements and try not smoking again. Also, pay attention to what you eat–a well-rounded diet low in salt but high in nutrients is key here (and less alcohol wouldn't hurt either). Make sure to keep checking your BP numbers frequently and maybe even talk them over with a doctor if necessary.

If it reads 150/110, then there’s something serious cooking underneath— think heart attack level! You should see a cardiologist to either change your dosage or advice on how to bring it down through lifestyle modifications. Stress; unhealthy foods such as junk or fast food items; lack of physical activities like workouts at the gym etcetera– these among others can lead one into having high levels but not all hope is lost because even genetics play a part too.

Hi, I am a 21-year-old female; last year, I found out I am anaemic. I have been having chest pains for a while now; back in March, I went to see the doctor; he believed it was acid reflux at that time. However, in the past weeks, I have been feeling pain sometimes as if something is being pulled or squeezed, and sometimes, out of nowhere, it can be a sharp pain and stop, and then it will be dull pain kind of going to my left. I even feel pain under my left breast or right or in my armpit, but mostly on my left side. And my neck will be painful on the sides and have a pain at the back. And I have pain in my left ear. It stays for days and will stop and will again start being painful. And i have been struggling with insomnia for the past months, but however since last week wednesday, it is like my body wants to lie down. Every time I try to do some work, I wanna rest, but I still feel sleepy even after resting or sleeping. I have used some painkillers, but still. What could be the issue?

Chest pain, especially with your history of anemia, could have several causes beyond acid reflux, such as heart issues or musculoskeletal problems. Since you’re experiencing persistent and varied pain in your chest, neck, and ear, along with fatigue and insomnia, I strongly advise visiting a cardiologist to rule out any heart-related issues and a general physician for a thorough check-up. Please consult these specialists as soon as possible for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Managing HCM at 38 isn’t easy, but it can be done. HCM thickens the muscles of the heart, which may affect the flow of blood. You might start experiencing chest pains, shortness of breath or even fainting spells. I have done series of test and X-ray which results I have but the doctor couldn't give me a significant explanation as it pertains to this complain. Please ????????????????doctor help me, this feeling is life threatening.
Answered on 23rd May '24
This might be caused by something called anxiety or panic attacks, which make your heart beat fast and give you a scared feeling even when there’s no reason to be afraid. These attacks can be so frightening but they won’t hurt you. You should talk to your cardiologist or a mental healthcare provider who can teach you how to cope with them.

I have stopped smoking and today is the 9th day I haven't smoked. but 4 days earlier my BP has suddenly increased to 200 so they gave me a pill to reduce the blood pressure. The day after tomorrow my BP was 150/90 in the morning so they gave me a pantop injection saying its normal gastric. On that afternoon, my BP was 160/90. today my BP is 170/98. Is it the effects of stopping smoking or restlessness?

When you quit smoking, your body changes, which may affect your blood pressure levels. One possible explanation for increased hypertension is that it may arise due to stopping smoking. It's vital to keep monitoring your BP regularly. Calming methods should be attempted along with maintaining contact with the physician for appropriate advice.

Dr, my mom's pulse rate is 58..is that normal? I'm really feared because she had a hand vein surgery.. It's been 8yrs
Answered on 23rd May '24
Many people have a pulse rate of 58 beats each minute, and no symptoms such as dizziness, weariness, and pain in the chest area may be seen in them, which is considered normal. It is good for her to have a steady pulse rate. The change in the pulse rate is not caused directly by the operation at present but it is necessary to check it frequently. If she feels okay and does not have any other problems, then she should be fine in general. You should always see a cardiologist if there are any worrying symptoms or developments.

I am having pain in my left side of chest since few hours
Answered on 23rd May '24
Many things could cause chest pains such as muscle strains, indigestion, or lung problems but even more serious conditions like heart attacks can also be to blame. These other symptoms might include being out of breath quickly when you haven’t done very much exertion, or feeling lightheaded so watch out for them too. Try laying down somewhere comfortable with your eyes closed and take some slow deep breaths – this will make sure our bodies get enough oxygen if it’s just stress. Please visit a cardiologist as soon as possible.

Both the symptoms seem to be associated with the heart. A higher level of creatinine makes it difficult to treat the patient. Assess her heart functionality with a less harmful examination, A stress test will help to examine the performance of the heart under physical stress. Getting the test done can be helpful before the surgery.

Answered on 26th Sept '24
You must take your medicine as told by the doctor. Not taking Plavix after getting a stent can cause blood clots. These clots make you feel tired, weak, or give chest pains. Missing Plavix raises the chance of clots forming on the stent, leading to serious issues. So, take your medicine correctly for your heart's well-being.

Answered on 26th Sept '24
High blood pressure, like 140/100, isn't good and can lead to heart problems or a stroke. It's important to lower it. Medication such as diuretics and ACE inhibitors can help, but diet and exercise are also crucial. Regularly check your blood pressure to ensure the treatment is effective.

Answered on 27th Sept '24
Low blood pressure could cause blurry vision, headache, neck pain, and slow heartbeat. Not enough blood flow to your body might be the reason. Dehydration, medicine side effects, and medical conditions may lead to this. Drink lots of water. Eat meals regularly. Don't get up too fast from sitting or lying down. If symptoms persist, visit a cardiologist.

I have a heart murmur probably due to just being diagnosed with anemia. I also have slightly elevated blood pressure. Should I be worried?
Answered on 11th Sept '24
Your heart makes a sound called a murmur, which is due to having low red blood cells, a condition known as anemia. Your blood pressure is also a bit high. Don’t worry—when you have fewer red blood cells, your heart works harder, causing the murmur. High blood pressure affects how your heart functions too. You’ll need medication for anemia and blood pressure, and eating healthy is important. Make sure to see a cardiologist regularly to monitor your condition.

I worry a lot about things like this. Every sensation I feel in my chest I feel like it's going to be something bad. Am I being over anxious
Answered on 27th Aug '24
Concerns are understandable, especially with ongoing conditions. Positive test results can be reassuring. Rheumatoid arthritis often increases vigilance. Chest sensations can have many causes beyond heart issues. Regular check-ups, exercise, a balanced diet, and good stress management help maintain heart health and reduce anxiety.
Asked for Male, 36
I went to the ED a while back for flu-like symptoms and fever after a surgery. They admitted me due to elevated troponin levels (243) and tachycardia at rest (118bpm). I had an EKG, echo, and chest xray, but was only told they looked "fine". I was eventually discharged with the one word diagnosis "pericarditis," no meds, and no explanation or plan other than to follow up with my PCP. At my follow-up, I was told I had an enlarged heart and decreased ejection fraction, and that we'd "keep an eye on it." Nothing has been mentioned since and there was no elaboration. Anything more than general getting around has my heart rate shooting up to the 140s and leaves me exhausted. I've been having palpitations; my heart skips beats and I get a fluttery, empty feeling in my chest that leaves me lightheaded. Is it possible I had a heart attack that was missed? I've read heart attacks and pericarditis can read similarly on EKGs. Answered on 27th Aug '24
Your heart beat fast, had palpitations, and made you feel lightheaded. These could relate to your heart condition. Feeling apprehensive about a heart attack is understandable, but more tests are vital for identifying the exact issue. An echo displays how effectively your heart functions. Additional examinations may uncover the precise diagnosis. Being transparent with a cardiologist regarding symptoms and concerns is crucial.

Answered on 6th Aug '24
Are you feeling your heart beat fast? There are reasons for this, like anxiety, exercise, or medications. Use two fingers on your wrist or neck. Count the beats for fifteen seconds, then multiply by four. This gives your pulse rate. To check blood pressure, you need a cuff and stethoscope. The cuff instructions show how to measure it correctly. If you feel unwell or have chest pain, seek medical attention from a cardiologist immediately.

Myocarditis is a condition where the heart muscle is inflamed and can be caused by viruses, bacteria, or other infections. It is possible that there is a genetic component to this condition, and I would recommend consulting with a genetic specialist or a pediatric cardiologist. They may be able to provide more information about potential genetic causes and what steps can be taken to prevent it in future pregnancies. It is important to seek medical attention and advice from a experienced healthcare professional.

Hello, my doctor prescribed me high blood pressure medication for my insomnia and I seen somewhere where it’s dangerous to take high blood pressure medicine without actually having it And I’m wondering if it will effect me
Answered on 23rd May '24
High bp medication is usually not prescribed if your bp is normal. The medication lowers bp and if its already normal, it can cause your bp to drop too low, which can lead to complications such as dizziness or fainting. In some cases medications used to treat high bp may also have sedative or calming effects, which is why your doctor may have prescribed it for your insomnia.

For this reason, it is important that you continue to follow up with your doctor to ensure that the pain is not caused by something more serious. Your doctor may recommend further testing, such as an MRI or CT scan, to better understand the cause of your pain. It is also important to watch for any other symptoms that may have developed since the pain began, such as shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chest pain, or palpitations. These symptoms may indicate a more serious problem.
